Axie Infinity

 Axie Infinity is an NFT-based online video game developed by Sky Mavis' Vietnamese studio1, which uses the Ethereum-based cryptocurrency AXS (Axie Infinity Shards) and SLP (Smooth Love Potion). It is currently the most expensive NFT collection with over $ 42 million in sales as of June 2021



Axie Infinity has become one of the most well-known play-to-earn games. The game requires an initial investment to purchase three Axies, or you can receive a free Scholarship from another player or gaming guild. These gaming guilds provide the NFTs on loan to players so they can start to play immediately without investment. The in-game token earnings are then split in a profit share between the player and the guild. A guild utilizing this model and gaining large traction with over 5,500 global players is Crypto Gaming Unity.

Each Axie is a unique collectible that can be bought or sold across exchanges outside of the game. The cheapest of which are selling for around $200. The most expensive monster was sold in 2020 for 300 ether, then worth about $130,000.
